PopSockets holds our suppliers to the highest ethical and human rights standards and we’ve taken actions to ensure that remains of utmost priority. In 2018, PopSockets was approved as an affiliate company by the Fair Labor Association (FLA), an international network of companies, universities, and civil society organizations collaborating to ensure that millions of people working at the world’s factories and farms are paid fairly and protected from risks to their health, safety, and well-being. As of 2022, we have obtained full FLA accreditation, joining 29 other global brands committed to excellence in labor rights. Fair Labor Accreditation verifies that our company has systems in place to protect the workers in our supply chain, based on the Fair Labor Association’s internationally recognized labor standards. We’ve also defined a strict Code of Conduct and related standards that put worker wellbeing as the number one priority, and prohibits all forms of modern slavery, child labor, and harassment in the workplace.
WOMEN’S HEALTH IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN
In 2018-2019, in an effort to improve the health and well-being of women working in our Chinese factories, PopSockets partnered with HERProject, a collaborative initiative that strives to empower low-income women working in global supply chains. Through a year-long training program focused on personal hygiene, family planning, menstruation, maternal health, HIV/AIDS and nutrition, women were empowered to become self-advocates and make healthy choices—both at home and in the workplace.
